Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card

About the Book

Orson Scott Card’s novel is set on our planet many years from the present, where the society is shaped by expanded contact with other life in the universe. Fear and preparation for a third space war govern this world, and young protagonist Andrew “Ender” Wiggin must spend his life in training school. Despite his thoughtful and kind nature, Ender excels in battle and quickly rises through the levels of special training, and ends up isolated, stranded, and exiled from his home planet. However, this book doesn’t end in total despair; Ender’s empathy shines through, and may present an unlikely end to this novel.
