On his journey, he sees a few fantastical and very depressing scenes for the future of humanity, including the division of the human race into two separate species. He gets to see which of these two species becomes extinct, and what the world looks like thanks to the winner’s designs, and he gets to see the world end. It is very easy to finish this book in one sitting thanks to the Wells’ ability to push readers on to the next chapter.
